"Cookie-ing" From the Trenches

I love to make cookies.  In fact, it's so much fun, I don't know why the whole world has not joined the Cookie Revolution.  It's rewarding, fun, and a tasty way of expressing yourself.

I just cannot understand why everyone's not doing it.

Until...

I spend the better part of a Saturday standing at the sink doing this.  I'm guessing bottle washing is not a popular weekend pastime...

Oh, the things I do for this crazy hobby of mine!

And just in case you are wondering how I could make SUCH a mess in one day, I'll show you exactly how to do it. =)

To make the mess of all messes, all you have to do is make a platter of fruit cookies.This platter has about fifteen different colors! {It might be 17 or 18, I lost count}

In my defense, it usually takes me three or four days to make a mess of this caliber, but this set of cookies is the exception.

This, my friends, is "cookie-ing" from the trenches.  This is an everyday reality for those of us who have taken this obsession to a whole new level.

That said, I hope everyone is spending their Saturday decorating and not cleaning up the mess =)

Happy decorating friends!

  1. Those cookies are so beautiful! Edible works of art is the only description that I can come up with that even half describes them.
    The mess we make when we bake is the cross we bear everyday. But the smiles on the faces of the recipients (and your readers) makes it all worth it.
    You are making the world better, one batch of cookies at a time.x

  2. I can't even imagine how you plan and organize and individually design those fruit cookies! Must be a lot of work! But they sure are gorgeous! :)
