Busy Week

I have a ton of things in the works and I have gotten a little behind...so, I am just going to post a jumble of recent projects here! Also, soon and very soon my newly designed blog should be up and running, which makes me VERY excited!!!
Another exciting bit of news is that I plan on posting my very first online tutorial sometime this week. Many people have asked, but I have always been way too nervous to attempt one. I am a tiny bit camera shy =) Luckily, I have a great friend helping me get it together, so keep your eyes open!

If this works out well, I will consider posting more online tutorials. I honestly don't know where to begin, so I thought I would ask my readers what they would like to see demonstrated so I can get some ideas.

  1. I'd love to see a tutorial on how you make your royal icing and then a tutorial on how you ice your cookies. Your cookies amaze me at how perfect they are :)

  2. Your cookie combinations for your platters are awesome! I would love to see a tutorial how you plan your platters and the preparations you do for your projects.

  3. Hi there!
I've been decorating on a hobby level for almost a year now, and one thing I always wonder about is the most efficient/clean way to plan decorating. Do you flood the whole background or do you do all the outlining and fill in all the flood colors at once? How do you plan how much icing you'll need for each color and for flooding vs. piping icing?
I don't have a studio/bakery space, as I live in a small condo, and doing ONE platter takes me HOURS of work. I'm talking 8 hours for a few dozen cookies. It just doesn't seem like I'm doing it the right way. LOL
Your thoughts on this would be great! I love, love, love your work. What an inspiration!
